Conditions We Treat
Back Pain
Back pain can start after lifting, sitting for long hours, from an injury, or simply repeating the same movements every day. We look beyond the painful area to understand what is putting stress on your back. Restricted joints, tight muscles, irritated nerves, and changes in movement can all play a part. Based on what we find, care may include spinal adjustments, decompression therapy, or soft tissue work. We will show you stretches and strengthening exercises you can continue at home. We also look at activities that may keep aggravating the problem. The focus is to get your back moving better and make everyday tasks easier to handle.
Neck Pain
Neck pain can make everyday movements such as turning your head, driving, working at a computer, or sleeping uncomfortable. Sometimes it stays around the neck. Other times, an irritated nerve can send pain, numbness, or tingling toward the shoulder or arm. Dr. Jordan Kalil looks at how the neck is moving and checks the surrounding muscles and joints to find where the problem may be coming from. Care can include chiropractic adjustments, hands-on muscle work, stretching, and exercises. We may also discuss posture or workstation changes when daily habits continue to put stress on the neck.
Sciatica
Sciatica can feel different from one person to another. You may have pain running from the lower back into the buttock and leg, while someone else may notice tingling, numbness, or weakness. Since these symptoms can have different causes, we first work out where the nerve is being irritated. We check the lower back, pelvis, movement, and nerve function rather than treating the leg alone. Chiropractic adjustments, gentle spinal techniques, stretching, or soft tissue work may be used based on the findings. Disc-related cases may also need imaging or other treatment options before moving forward.
Scoliosis
Having scoliosis does not necessarily mean you will have constant back pain. What matters is how the spinal curve is affecting your movement, surrounding muscles, and daily activities. Some people mainly notice stiffness or uneven movement, while others develop discomfort as certain areas take on more stress. Chiropractic care does not promise to straighten a scoliosis curve. Instead, we work with the movement you have. Care may include adjustments, mobility work, stretching, and exercises to keep the surrounding muscles and joints working well. Dr. Jordan Kalil adjusts the approach according to each person’s symptoms and mobility.
Shoulder Pain
Reaching into a cupboard, putting on a shirt, lifting weights, or even sleeping on one side can become difficult when your shoulder hurts. The shoulder itself may not always be the only area involved. Tight muscles, irritated tendons, repetitive use, and problems coming from the neck can all affect how it moves. We check the shoulder along with the neck and upper back to get a clearer picture of the problem. Treatment may involve joint adjustments, muscle work, mobility exercises, or strengthening. If the findings suggest a more significant injury, we may recommend imaging or further evaluation.
Sports Injuries
Pain during a workout or sport can quickly change how you move, train, or perform. Sometimes it starts after one wrong movement. Other times, the same exercise repeated over time gradually irritates a muscle or joint. At True Chiropractic Bellevue, we look at where you hurt, how the area moves, and what you were doing when the problem began. Dr. Jordan Kalil creates a treatment plan based on what he finds in your physical exam. If certain movements keep irritating the area, we may modify them temporarily while you recover and work your way back to regular activity.
Headaches and Migraines
Headaches can have many causes, and not every headache is related to the neck. But if your headaches tend to show up along with neck stiffness or tightness around the shoulders, it is worth looking at how that area is moving. Hours at a computer, looking down at a phone, or holding the head in one position for too long can add to that tension. At True Chiropractic Bellevue, we check for problems in the neck that may be contributing to your symptoms. Dr. Jordan Kalil also considers your posture and daily habits when developing your treatment plan.
Knee Pain
Knee pain can show up while walking, using stairs, squatting, exercising, or even after sitting for a long time. Where it hurts and what brings it on can tell us quite a bit. Sometimes the knee itself is the problem. In other cases, the way the hips, ankles, or feet are moving may be putting extra stress on it. We look at the knee as part of the way your whole leg moves. This helps us understand what may be irritating the area before deciding what kind of care makes sense.
Herniated Disc
A herniated disc may cause pain around the back or neck, but nerve symptoms can show up farther away. You might notice pain, numbness, or tingling traveling into an arm, hand, buttock, or leg. That’s why we pay close attention to where your symptoms travel and what movements make them change. The severity of the disc injury also matters. We may review existing imaging or recommend further imaging when necessary. Chiropractic techniques and rehabilitation may be appropriate for some patients, while certain disc problems may also benefit from spinal decompression. Care is based on what the examination actually shows.
Carpal Tunnel
Numbness or tingling in the hand can make typing, gripping, or other repetitive tasks frustrating. Carpal tunnel syndrome occurs when the median nerve is compressed at the wrist, but similar symptoms can sometimes come from farther up the arm or neck. We don’t want to assume the wrist is responsible without checking. Our evaluation may include the wrist, arm, neck, posture, and activities that bring on your symptoms. When chiropractic care is appropriate, treatment can include gentle joint work, soft tissue techniques, exercises, and changes to your workstation or daily routine. Persistent weakness may need further medical evaluation.
Arm & Leg Pain
Where you feel pain isn’t always where the problem starts. An irritated nerve in the neck, for example, can send symptoms down the arm. A lower back problem may be felt through the buttock or leg. Dr. Jordan Kalil looks at the path of your symptoms, how your spine and joints move, and whether numbness, tingling, or weakness is also present. From there, treatment is based on what is actually contributing to the problem. Chiropractic adjustments, muscle work, stretching, mobility exercises, or rehabilitation may be used to address the areas involved and help you move more comfortably.
Osteoarthritis
Osteoarthritis can make a joint harder to move than it used to be. You may notice stiffness first thing in the morning, after sitting for a while, or when doing certain activities. Dr. Jordan Kalil looks at how much movement you still have and where the joint is getting restricted. He may work on the joint itself and the muscles around it using gentle chiropractic techniques and strengthening exercises. We can’t undo arthritis, but we can work with the movement you have and help keep the area from becoming unnecessarily stiff.
Vertigo
Feeling dizzy or as though the room is spinning can be unsettling, but vertigo does not have one single cause. Some cases are related to the inner ear, while neck problems can sometimes occur alongside dizziness. We start by listening to when your symptoms happen, what movements trigger them, and whether there are other symptoms that need medical attention. Dr. Jordan Kalil can assess neck movement and other musculoskeletal factors to determine whether chiropractic care has a role. Certain types of positional vertigo may require specific repositioning techniques instead. The important part is determining what’s behind the dizziness before treating it.
Whiplash Injuries
Whiplash often happens during a car accident when the head and neck move rapidly back and forth. The joints, muscles, tendons, and ligaments can all be affected by that sudden force. You may notice soreness right away, or stiffness and headaches may become more noticeable later. We check how well your neck is moving and whether the injury needs imaging or further medical evaluation. When chiropractic care is appropriate, treatment may start gently and change as the tissues recover. Adjustments, soft tissue work, mobility exercises, and rehabilitation can all be used at different stages of recovery.
Work Injuries
Work can be hard on the body even when there isn’t a specific accident to point to. Maybe your back started hurting after lifting at work, or your neck has been getting tighter from sitting at a computer every day. Reaching, bending, standing for long hours, and other repeated movements can also cause problems over time. At True Chiropractic Bellevue, we ask about your work because it helps us understand what may be bothering the area. Dr. Jordan Kalil may use adjustments, muscle work, stretching, or exercises. We can also show you changes to make while sitting, lifting, or working.
Numbness & Neuropathy
Numbness, tingling, or burning sensations tell us that a nerve may be involved, but they don’t tell us why. That’s what needs to be worked out first. Nerve irritation in the neck can affect an arm or hand, while problems in the lower back may cause symptoms in the leg or foot. We examine movement, strength, sensation, and other nerve-related signs to see whether there is a mechanical problem we can address. Chiropractic care is not appropriate for every cause of neuropathy. If Dr. Jordan Kalil suspects another underlying cause, further medical evaluation may be recommended before treatment.
