Chiropractic Care
Chiropractic care focuses on how the spine and joints are moving and whether any areas are stiff or restricted. At True Chiropractic Bellevue, we start with an examination to understand your symptoms and identify areas that may not be moving properly. Dr. Jordan Kalil uses chiropractic adjustments to work on these restrictions and improve joint movement. The type of adjustment used can vary depending on the area being treated, your condition, and what feels appropriate for you. We may also discuss exercises, posture, or daily activities when they are contributing to the problem.
Spinal Adjustments
A spinal adjustment is a hands-on technique used to work on a joint that is not moving well as it should. You may hear or feel a small pop during an adjustment, which is completely normal. Dr. Jordan Kalil determines where an adjustment may be appropriate rather than simply adding it to your treatment plan. The amount of force and technique can also vary from one patient to another. At True Chiropractic Bellevue, adjustments are used as part of care when the examination shows they are suitable for you.
Spinal Decompression
If a disc problem is irritating a nearby nerve, you might feel more than back or neck pain. Symptoms can travel into an arm or leg and may include tingling or numbness. Spinal decompression uses controlled traction to gently stretch a specific area of the spine and temporarily change the pressure around the discs. It isn’t something every patient with back pain needs. We first look at your symptoms, examination findings, and available imaging to see whether decompression makes sense for your condition. When it does, Dr. Jordan Kalil may include it as one part of your overall care plan.
Laser Therapy
Laser therapy uses specific wavelengths of light that are applied to the area being treated. The treatment is non-invasive, so there are no incisions or injections involved. Patients may see it included in a care plan for certain muscle, joint, or soft tissue problems. Rather than adding laser therapy simply because an area hurts, we consider what tissue may be involved and whether this type of treatment is appropriate. At True Chiropractic Bellevue, laser therapy may be used alongside other care instead of replacing the rest of your treatment plan. What we recommend depends on your condition and how it responds over time.
Massage Therapy
Tight muscles can make even normal movements uncomfortable. You might notice it when turning your neck, reaching overhead, bending, or getting up after sitting for a while. Massage therapy works directly on muscles and soft tissues that feel tight or restricted. At True Chiropractic Bellevue, it may also be used alongside chiropractic care when muscle tension is affecting how an area moves. The massage session can focus on the neck, shoulders, back, hips, or other areas depending on where the problem is. Dr. Jordan Kalil considers what is causing the tension and how it is affecting your movement before recommending massage as part of care.
TMJ Treatment
Your jaw does a lot of work throughout the day. Talking, chewing, yawning, and clenching all involve the temporomandibular joints, commonly called the TMJ. When something isn’t moving comfortably, you may notice jaw pain, tightness, clicking, or difficulty opening your mouth fully. Some people also carry considerable tension through the jaw and surrounding muscles. We look at how the jaw moves and consider whether the neck and nearby muscles may also be involved. Dr. Jordan Kalil can then determine whether chiropractic or hands-on care has a role, or whether your symptoms are better evaluated by another healthcare professional.
Pediatric Chiropractic Care
Children don’t receive chiropractic care exactly the same way adults do. Their bodies are smaller, still developing, and the amount of pressure used during care needs to reflect that. Parents may bring a child in after a sports injury, fall, or because movement has become uncomfortable. We start by listening to what has been happening and examining the child before deciding whether chiropractic care is appropriate at all. When it is, Dr. Jordan Kalil uses very gentle techniques suited to the child’s age, size, and needs. We also explain what we’re doing so parents understand why a particular approach has been recommended.
Prenatal Care
Prenatal chiropractic care focuses on the muscles and joints that take on additional work as your body changes throughout pregnancy. Lower back discomfort, hip tightness, pelvic discomfort, and difficulty finding a comfortable sleeping or sitting position are common reasons patients seek care. At True Chiropractic Bellevue, Dr. Jordan Kalil uses gentle chiropractic techniques and modifies positioning as pregnancy progresses. Care may also include simple stretches or movement recommendations for areas that feel tight or restricted. Each visit is adjusted around how you are feeling that day, with an emphasis on comfortable movement throughout pregnancy.
Wellness Care
Wellness care is about what happens after the pain or stiffness that first brought you in has improved. You may be moving better, but there can still be areas that need more strength or flexibility. We can work on those before they start interfering with your usual routine again. This may include checking how your spine and joints are moving, going over exercises, or discussing simple changes you can make at home or work. Dr. Jordan Kalil considers your activity level and what you want to keep doing when planning ongoing care.
